Troop 1333
Troop 1333 is a unit in the Polaris District of the Sam
Houston Area Council (SHAC) of the Boy Scouts of America. Our chartered
partner is Trinity Lutheran Church, 5201 Spring Cypress Road, Klein, Texas
77379.
Troop Meetings are held an average of three times per month
on Sunday afternoons at either the Troop 1333 Scout Huts located at Trinity,
or at Troop 1333's campgrounds at the Kaiserhof Lutheran Retreat Center.
The Troop camps once a month, except in December and May. Please join us as
we continue our trek down the Scouting Trail.
Our Troop Meetings are typically held on
Sunday afternoons. Sunday meetings seem to be ideal for scouts and parents
with busy weekday schedules that include school and sports activities in
addition to Scouting.
The size of our troop allows the scout many
opportunities to learn leadership skills, receive individual attention, and
earn merit badges with the goal of achieving Eagle rank.
We have an active group of parent volunteers, many of whom are former scouts
and are dedicated to helping our boys shape a program that is fun,
rewarding, and meaningful.
Fun . . . Tradition . . . Learning . . .
Personal growth . . . Rank Advancement
These are the core elements that define Troop 1333. Whether it's:
 |
camping, canoeing, hiking, pioneering,
orienteering, or just enjoying nature at our private campgrounds at
Kaiserhof Lutheran Retreat Center; |
 |
attending summer camp where boys learn new
skills and come home with the satisfaction of having earned merit badges
and new skills; |
 |
participating in a flag retirement ceremony
at a campout where our boys reflect on the meaning and history behind the
stars and stripes; or |
 |
engaging in fun, tradition, learning,
personal growth, and rank advancement. |
All these are part of the Scouting experience
at Troop 1333.

New Scout Uniforms
The Boy Scouts of America
has designed a new Scout uniform for the Centennial. This uniform has been
created as an option for Scouts to wear. The current uniform is not being
replaced. There is a brochure attached with information on the new
uniform. The brochure states that the troop numerals will be green but
the local scout shop contends that they will remain red. Time will
tell.

T1333 New Eagle Scouts
Congratulations to Carver and
Brent on becoming Troop 1333's 24th and 25th Eagle Scouts with the
successful completion of the Eagle Boards of Review. For their Eagle Scout
Leadership Service Projects, Carver added a volleyball court, park benches,
storage and trees to Abiding Faith Lutheran Church and Brent replaced fire
hydrant markers in the Timber lane Utility District. See all the
scouts in Troop 1333's Eagle's Nest here.

Venture Crew 1333
I am excited to announce the launch of the 1333
Venturing Crew. This is a new addition to the scouting offerings at
Trinity. Venturing Crew is open to all First Class and higher scouts
who are 14 years to 20 years old. As a scout in Troop 1333 you can
also sign up and participate in the Venturing Crew.
Mr. Bravenec has volunteered to be the Crew Advisor.
Mr. Landry and Mr. Gerdes will assist as associate advisors. Mr.
Zarella will be the committee Chairperson leading both Troop 1333 and
Crew 1333. To make this successful we will also need adult
volunteers as committee members dedicated to the crew.
If you are interested, please plan to attend the
orientation and registration on Wednesday April 9th at 7pm. This is a
great opportunity to continue on with scouts. Please come by to hear
more details and ask questions.
